Personal Touches Accent Sept. 2 Waldorf Astoria Orlando Wedding for Yolanda and Kyle

Yolanda Ancayan and Kyle Clements tied the knot on Sept 2 at the Waldorf Astoria Orlando in a beautiful, contemporary themed wedding full of personal touches that meant so much to the couple.  Harpist Christine MacPhail performed at the wedding ceremony (and cocktail hour that followed) while the bride’s daughter, Angelina, walked her Mom down the aisle.  The contemporary feel that Yolanda wanted at her wedding reception was accomplished with lots of white and splashes of hot pink in the Waldorf Grand Ballroom.  Simply Lighting provided perimeter lighting that accentuated a “club feel”.  And her dream came true of recreating her chocoholic dream with an amazing chocolate fountain for guests to enjoy following the wedding cake. Wedding planners were Megan Haw and Abby Cohen of Sweet Pea Events.  All the magical wedding moments were captured on camera by Dennis of Binary Flips and on video by Mary at Key Moments.  Floral and Décor were artfully arranged by Get Hitched Events, A Chair Affair and Lee Forrest.  Entertainment was provided by DJ Jeff from White Rose Entertainment. The new Mr. and Mrs. Clements met in Jacksonville, Fla., honeymooned in Thailand and now reside in Orlando, Fla.  Yolanda, a unique marathon runner who loved chocolate, is training for the Chicago Marathon in October.

Black And White Brin Old Hollywood Glam To Sarah and Tommy’s May 19 Waldorf Astoria Orlando Wedding

Sarah Taussig was so excited about marrying the man of her dreams and having her wedding in her hometown.  She wanted everything to be perfect and special.

“We chose a black and white theme for an Old Hollywood glamorous touch.  Everything carried through to that, even the cake and my flower girl who was dressed as a mini Audrey Hepburn,” said Sarah.  “The flowers, the food was exactly what I had imagined.  And the honeymoon suite was incredible!”

Her fondest memories were seeing all her friends and family when she walked out of the hotel and onto the beautifully decorated lawn.  “I loved our band, City Heat, and seeing everyone have a blast,” she recalled.

For Sarah, the best part of planning her spectacular wedding at the Waldorf Astoria Orlando was the ease of everything and how well organized it was.  “The food tasting was so much fun and it was such a high-class experience.”  The wedding planner was Jamie O’Donnell, photos by Nu Visions, with floral and décor by Lee James, Kirby Linens and A Chair Affair.

The new Mr. and Mrs. Valenta dated for three years before getting married and now reside in Dallas.  They honeymooned in Venice and Paris.

Jacqueline and Doug Dazzle in Platinum Themed Wedding and Reception at Waldorf Astoria Orlando

Jacqueline Viel and Doug Holubek will never forget May 12 when they married in what Jacqueline calls “the prettiest venue we could find.”   She recalls that unforgettable moment when she walked down the aisle of the Waldorf Astoria Orlando Signature Island with her Dad, and then joined her bridal party in stunning purple dresses, beside her.

For the dinner inside the Waldorf Grand Ballroom, the couple chose platinum linens and chair covers with bits of bling in the napkin rings and candle shades, with the cake table and head table covered in a fun platinum petal linen.  Weddings Unique served as wedding planner with Lee James, providing floral and décor. The elegant wedding cake, provided by Waldorf Astoria Orlando, complemented the color scheme, wrapped in silver platinum satin ribbon, topped with white roses and sprinkled with edible glitter.

Guests danced to the sounds of Hook’d and ended the evening with a shower of rose petals for the newlyweds.  Doug grew up in Orlando, Jacqueline in Sioux Falls, SD.  They met here and honeymooned on the spectacular Caribbean Island of St. Lucia.

September Disney Themed Waldorf Astoria Orlando Wedding Pays Special Tribute To Bride’s Mom

Heartfelt September Wedding Pays Tribute To Bride’s Mom
Christine Romero and Daniel Roche married Sept. 8 in a touching and elegant Waldorf Astoria Orlando wedding and reception that paid tribute to Christine’s Mom who passed away six months before the wedding.  Christine honored her mother on her wedding day with many special touches, such as a photo of her which sat on a table at the wedding ceremony and a seat for her next to her father.  The bride’s sister was maid of honor and the groom’s brother served as best man.

Christine and Dan chose blue and brown as their wedding colors, working with Jennifer Haskell of Just Marry! as their wedding planner.  Christine, who works for Disney Cruise Line, selected The Walt Disney Co. to do her photography, floral and décor, and entertainment for a very special and personal touch.  Guests enjoyed an assortment of Disney songs as they entered the ceremony, including A Dream Is A Wish Your Heart Makes, Beauty & The Beast, and A Whole New World.  The bride’s father surprised the couple with 15-inch tall Mickey and Minnie Bride & Groom figurines for the Sweetheart Table and another set for atop the wedding cake. Their names and the wedding date was printed at the base. The new Mrs. and Mrs. Roche toasted each other with Mickey & Minnie champagne flutes.

The couple grew up in the Ft. Lauderdale area and were introduced by a mutual friend.  They sailed on the Disney Fantasy to the Western Caribbean, including Grand Cayman, Costa Maya and Cozumel.

Barnard and Schneider Wedding

A French Pavilion Engagement, An Elegant Waldorf Astoria Orlando Wedding and Some Macaroni and Cheese For Lauren and Jeff

From the moment Lauren Barnard and Jeff Schneider got engaged at the France Pavilion at EPCOT Center in Orlando, reminiscent of a prior dream trip to Paris, the couple knew attention to detail and elegance would be key for their May 5 wedding. That’s why they chose the Waldorf Astoria Orlando for the best quality of service and food they were looking for, complete with a personal butler which Lauren said she couldn’t have gotten through the day without.  Lauren remembers walking into the ballroom with Jeff before the guests arrived, and having that WOW moment.  They also had their special request met to deliver a large dish of homemade macaroni and cheese, their all time favorite, to every table.  Without a doubt, the smiles and graciousness of all the staff made their day incredibly special.  The bridal party was adorned in platinum chiffon, with the flower girl in blush pink.  Wedding planner was Brittany Sobering and Tickled Pink Brides, while floral and décor was provided by Flourish, and entertainment by DJ Steve Weinstein.  Studio 222 captured all the special wedding and reception moment photos.  The new Mrs. and Mrs. Schneider met while working in New York together.  They honeymooned in Italy, starting in Rome, and then going on to Positano on the Amalfi Coast and to Tuscany.

A ROMANTIC WALDORF ASTORIA ORLANDO WEDDING FOR JACQO AND JAKE

Jacqo Strazzeri and Jake Rappaport became husband and wife in a beautiful, whimsical themed ceremony and reception at Waldorf Astoria Orlando on April 21.  The bride walked down the aisle to the tune of “Uptown Girl” played by Beautiful Music, while the bridal party looked stunning in navy blue with hair and makeup done by Lambs Eat Ivy.  An elegant dinner followed in the cherry blossom and wood adorned Grand Ballroom, featuring various shades of pink and green, expertly designed and arranged by Raining Roses.  Dinner entertainment was provided by The Headliners Band.  Guests said goodbye to the newlyweds with a pink rose petal toss, as they departed for their honeymoon in Italy.

Jacqo is a hair designer in Thornton Park and Jake works at International Trading in Winter Park.  The couple met at Rollins College.  Wedding photographers Binary Flips captured all the moments of their special day.

Becky and Alfonso’s Memorial Day Weekend Wedding

Becky and Alfonso exchanged their wedding vows over the Memorial Day holiday weekend at Waldorf Astoria Orlando.

Their outdoor ceremony took place on the resort’s signature island, overlooking the Waldorf Astoria golf course. The ambiance was tranquil and relaxing, but the couple turned up the energy for the reception. From break dancers to high-flying “street performers,” this couple’s dream wedding most certainly came true.

Empire State of Mind – Ivi and Candace’s Waldorf Wedding

The concrete jungle may have been where Ivi and Candace’s wedding dreams were made, but they chose Waldorf Astoria Orlando to help bring their dreams to life!

Ivi and Candace, who met and currently live in New York City, knew they wanted to have their destination wedding in Orlando, but they also wanted to capture the essence of NYC in their theme. Waldorf Astoria Orlando was the perfect venue for the couple. Candace affectionately said Waldorf Astoria Orlando screams “Manhattan!”

With the help of Greenery Productions, Shanna Michele Designs and Pure Magic Ice Cream, the couple’s big city dreams were brought to life in a whole new way. Setting the tone of the wedding, Greenery Productions created a life-size backdrop of Sheep’s Meadow, the couple’s favorite area in Central Park. This beautiful backdrop evoked a romantic feeling for the reception, as if guests were attending a private, intimate reception, right in the middle of Central Park. These fun, New York-themed touches also included taxi-cab escort cards, menus created to mirror the famed NYC skyline, and nitrogen ice cream. The special New York touches were everywhere, including the music provided by DJ Scott Messina. The wedding party made a grand entrance into the reception as Jay-Z’s “Empire State of Mind” was playing in the background.
