Attention To Detail Showcases Alison and Blake’s Waldorf Astoria Orlando Wedding

Following a beautiful Oct. 20 wedding ceremony at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Alison Gowen and Blake Temple celebrated their marriage with family and friends at Waldorf Astoria Orlando with lots of personalized and unique details meant to be very special to them for years to come.

“We had personalized silverware that said “I do” and “I do, too” and our cake cutter was also engraved with our names and wedding date.  We plan on using them a lot in the future, for our anniversaries,” Alison explained.

“The flowers also had special significance to us.  We wanted to do an outdoor wedding but since the weather was unpredictable then we brought the outside in with centerpieces that looked like trees covered in fall color roses.  They varied from tall to medium height.  I love the colors of fall and it is Blake’s favorite season.”

The groomsmen wore cufflinks that represented their favorite NFL team.  The father of the bride wore cufflinks that said “Walk me down the aisle at 2 pm on Oct. 20” and “I love you Daddy.”  The brother of the bride wore cufflinks that said “Brother of the bride” and Oct. 20.

With all the special details, Alison and Blake saw their dreams come true to show their families and friends how much they love each other and how their friendship and love for each other has grown, since knowing each other at age 14, going their separate ways for high school and college, and later getting back in touch in Orlando.

“It was an amazing experience getting married at the Waldorf Astoria Orlando. The hotel is so classic and we wanted that same classic kind of elegance for our wedding,” said Alison. “The staff, especially Jane and Alex, made sure we had everything we needed and it was awesome having our own personal butler.  I would recommend it for every bride-to-be!  I even told my husband that we have to start saving ASAP because I want our children to be able to get married at the Waldorf, too.”

Wedding planner was Rachel McCurdy of An Affair To Remember with photos by Sarah Bray, Video by Mary at Key Moments, Floral and Décor by Raining Roses and Entertainment by The Retreat.  The new Mr. and Mrs. Temple will be taking a Spring Break honeymoon in March to San Francisco and Napa Valley.  They reside in Celebration, Fla.
