Wedding On The Waldorf Island A Dream Come True for Karlene and Joe With Special Role Their Fathers Played In Their Incredible Day

Engaged in February and planning a Sept wedding to Joe Camero, Karlene Mynahan knew she didn’t want to get married somewhere for guests to come and leave three hours later.  She wanted a special place to celebrate and enjoy with family and friends for an entire weekend. “When we first saw the Waldorf’s island for weddings, we knew it was the perfect setting.  Our friends and family still talk about  it,” says Karlene.

She also recalls a beautiful upgraded Presidential Suite, gorgeous suites for her parents, and the Waldorf staff making everything flawless. “We will never forget that weekend.  No one else can come close to what they do for the perfect wedding at the Waldorf Astoria in Orlando,” she exclaimed.

And in that perfect setting, Karlene explained how very special it was to have her father, who had a heart transplant a year ago, walk her down the aisle.  Joe’s late father was there too, via his photo in a picture frame that was part of a brooch bouquet that Karlene’s mother created for her daughter’s wedding day.  “It was incredible my Dad was there on my wedding day and my father-in-law was a part of it, too,” she recalled.  “In fact, Joe and I really believe it was his Dad that brought us together again.  We met at the University of South Florida and went our separate ways, but I called Joe to give him my condolences when I read in the paper that his Dad has passed away.  The rest is history.”

The couple adorned their wedding and reception area in charcoal and pink with the bridesmaids dressed in navy blue.  Wedding planner was Brittany Sobering of Tickled Pink Brides.  Wedding photos were done by Limelight Photography and video by Jeffrey Stoner.  Floral and décor was by Lee Forrest and entertainment by Impulse Entertainment.

The new Mrs. and Mrs. Camero honeymooned in St. Lucia.  They reside in the Tampa, Fla area.
