Heartfelt September Wedding Pays Tribute To Bride’s Mom
Christine Romero and Daniel Roche married Sept. 8 in a touching and elegant Waldorf Astoria Orlando wedding and reception that paid tribute to Christine’s Mom who passed away six months before the wedding. Christine honored her mother on her wedding day with many special touches, such as a photo of her which sat on a table at the wedding ceremony and a seat for her next to her father. The bride’s sister was maid of honor and the groom’s brother served as best man.
Christine and Dan chose blue and brown as their wedding colors, working with Jennifer Haskell of Just Marry! as their wedding planner. Christine, who works for Disney Cruise Line, selected The Walt Disney Co. to do her photography, floral and décor, and entertainment for a very special and personal touch. Guests enjoyed an assortment of Disney songs as they entered the ceremony, including A Dream Is A Wish Your Heart Makes, Beauty & The Beast, and A Whole New World. The bride’s father surprised the couple with 15-inch tall Mickey and Minnie Bride & Groom figurines for the Sweetheart Table and another set for atop the wedding cake. Their names and the wedding date was printed at the base. The new Mrs. and Mrs. Roche toasted each other with Mickey & Minnie champagne flutes.
The couple grew up in the Ft. Lauderdale area and were introduced by a mutual friend. They sailed on the Disney Fantasy to the Western Caribbean, including Grand Cayman, Costa Maya and Cozumel.
